Welcome

The world's biggest pub crawl is well underway in order to build the database for this site. We will be adding further counties to this site until our exhaustive research is complete. Phew, it's a tough job but somebody's got to do it!

Description:

An atmospheric, comfortable, traditional local, built about 1863. No slouches when it comes to the present day: a disapproving eye quickly settles on one of the scourges of the 21st Century – the portable telephone (as it is known here)– and they’re discouraged! Any use or sight of one invokes a donation in the pub’s charity tin, so you have been warned. Inside are three traditional rooms, a pub piano – in tune – and to the rear a covered and heated courtyard with its large grapevine, used all year round. The popular and friendly licensees have been ‘in residence’ for more than 20years. A pub menu based on quality, ranges from steak, whole trout, gammon, omelettes, chips, baked potatoes, lots and lots of sandwich and baguette fillings. Adnams Southwold Bitter and Hook Norton Old Hooky star alongside draught Guinness and various lagers. A good and varied wine list as well as a good range of alcohol free drinks for all of us who drive. OPEN: 10am – 11.pm (Check website “Latest” at www.rose-n-crown.com) Real Ales Children, well-behaved are welcome weekend lunchtimes ONLY. No Dogs. Most wheelchairs can get in – (not WC).
